The Road to One Hundred

It feels like only yesterday I was frustrated because I didn’t know anything at all about this thing called blogging. 

Today, my follower count just hit 100. Now, I know that to you bloggers who have been doing this for way longer than me, this is nothing compared to the numbers you’re crunching. But I’m sure you felt the same way I do now when you started to realize that there are people you’ve never met who are listening to what you have to say.

So I’m not going to elaborate about myself because I wouldn’t be writing this thank-you post if it weren’t for your clicking that “Follow” button. I want to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read my posts and for following me on my journey through this sometimes ugly but mostly beautiful thing called the YA life.

I want this site to be a safe place for people–especially young people (don’t worry…if you’re not young, you’re still most welcome here). I want you to read what I write and be reminded that there’s so much more to life than what you’re feeling at the moment. I want you to laugh. I want you to be happy. I want you to know that you’re never alone. I want you to be so sure of your worth and your beauty that you never look for affirmation in the wrong places. I want you to feel heard. And understood. And important.

Because you are.
